At UC Irvine, we host Values-Based Recruitment. In doing so, Potential New Members, or PNMs, can align their personal values with the core values of each chapter. This helps create a stronger connection between women in each chapter and further gives PNMs a chance to have meaningful conversations during recruitment. We encourage PNMs to find a chapter whose values are similar to their own and they do this through the conversations they have with girls as they go through the process. Recruitment is such an exciting time and we hope that PNMs will find their home away from home!

Dear Potential New Member,

​     On behalf of the Panhellenic Community we would like to extend a warm welcome to you! Every Panhellenic member and every member of our team can fondly remember the excitement and nerves we all felt during the recruitment process. Although the week and many conversations you will get to have may feel incredibly overwhelming in the moment, you will come out with new friends, a huge support system and a home away from home. With an abundance and variety of passions, hobbies and backgrounds represented here at UCI, Panhellenic can be anyone’s home and we cannot wait until you are a part of it. Our community is made of 8 wonderful chapters who would be lucky to have you join them! We invite you to join us during week 0 to meet our chapters and learn what it truly means to be a part of a sorority.

     As you go through our recruitment we want to leave you with a few words of wisdom. First and foremost, go through recruitment with an open mind. Every chapter has some of the most amazing people you will ever meet and you may be surprised as to how easily and quickly you click with our members from different chapters. Second, be yourself! At the end of the day, we want all PNMs to be somewhere where their true, authentic self can shine bright. Figure out which chapter has the members that you can picture yourself going on late night food runs with, studying with, living with and making the best memories with. Reflect on your values and what you want out of sorority membership and you will end up where you are supposed to. Lastly, have fun during recruitment! Recruitment can be a stressful period, but it is the only time you will get the opportunity to meet so many amazing people who are just as excited as you are to make new friendships! Being yourself, having an open mind and remembering to enjoy the experience is the best way to go about the process!

     The Panhellenic community is so excited to meet you and we cannot wait to see your shining faces during recruitment!
